Lovely place in Melbourne. You can find a lot of books and feel a different environment. you can hear the creak of the old wooden stairs and this is an experience that it is something that has been lost over the years. It is a place to rest from the hectic life of Melbourne.

If you want a better selection, go to Dymocks. If you want the location, go to paperback books. If you want a boutique store, go to readings. The current management seems to have driven this 100 year old book store into the ground.

Ample space, good customer service and courteous staff. Ordered the Taiwan Sausage Fried Rice. Too sweet for my liking, and the mayo did not help the taste. Good quality but quantity wise it was not enough. A bit overpriced and the food was oily. Four stars for the ambience and the staff. Quantity needs to be increased.

If you're looking for that special hard to find or a significate best seller “Hill of Content” will meet your need. I ordered a specific kids book and they got it in within days, great service! It’s a really good place to just browse and you’re sure to find something of interest.

Cute little bookshop with an excellent selection of books. Overlooks the busy city streets. Cozy space for a quick read while you decide on which book to take home with you. Definitely ‘content’ with this bookshop! ☺️

One of my all time favourite bookstores. This shop has a great collection of recent works along with an excellent classics section. You never feel rushed browsing through this store and the staff are always friendly and happy to chat books.
